Natalie and Mark’s beautiful fall Jackson Hole wedding was the kind of wedding that truly filled my cup as a photographer. Since Jackson Hole is a destination wedding market, I usually don’t get to meet my couples in person until the week of the wedding. But Natalie and Mark had fallen in love with Jackson just like I had, and so they had intentionally planned several trips for the purposes of wedding planning and enjoying the beauty of Grand Teton National Park.
We met for coffee on one of the trips to see if we were a great fit for one another. I firmly believe that every couple deserves to work with the right photographer for them, as being able to “click” with your photographer is imperative to be able to open up during your photos and capture genuine emotion instead of being guarded (if you want to meet me virtually, reach out here). During our meeting (at Picnic, one of my favorite local spots in Jackson), I felt like we had known each other for years and knew we’d be perfect for one another for their wedding day.
Natalie and Mark had the most incredible vibe throughout their entire planning process and September wedding day, and we worked together to create a day with intention, from their first look nearby their hotel in Teton Village, to their couples portraits, selected from their custom location list that I designed for them, to their ride up the mountain in the gondola for their perfect ceremony at Rendezvous Lodge.
Their intimate wedding included their closest friends and family, missing Natalie’s sister, who was about to have her baby. This was so hard for Natalie, but during the reception the couple revealed that they had secretly gotten married at home in Pittsburgh prior to the trip so that her sister could be present, so their wedding in Wyoming was actually their sequel wedding. Natalie’s sister also recorded her wedding speech so that she could be a part of their celebration, which brought Natalie to tears.
It was so meaningful! I loved this Fall Jackson Hole wedding day. Natalie and Mark love each other so much, and it was radiating off of them during their perfect day.
This wedding was graciously featured in Magnolia Rouge.
