The Grand Teton Mountains covered in snow overlooking the best things to do in Jackson Hole

Welcome to my Ultimate Travel Guide of things to do in Jackson Hole! I’ve spent the better half of a decade putting together this list of over 100 recommendations, which includes both my personal favorites after living in the area for 5 years, my friends’ favorites, and the recommendations I always send my clients. I’m so excited to share my absolute favorites with you!

Ultimate Travel Guide Of Things To Do In Jackson Hole

Downtown Jackson Hole Accommodations

Cloudveil (112 Center St, Jackson, WY 83001) – The Cloudveil is the newest hotel to the area and is the only one directly on the downtown square in Jackson. It’s a boutique luxury hotel and features shops on-site, modern amenities, a great French restaurant (The Bistro), and an expansive rooftop terrace with an amazing view of downtown and Snow King Mountain.

Snow King Resort (400 E Snow King Ave, Jackson, WY 83001) – located just off the downtown square, the Snow King Resort is great for families (lots of activities to do on-site for littles), has a great restaurant, allows pets, and features a second accommodation, the Grand View Lodge–a series of condo-style rooms that sleep up to 10 people.

Hotel Jackson (120 N Glenwood St. Jackson, WY 83001) – this luxury boutique hotel is just off of Jackson’s downtown square and has the most incredible Mediterranean restaurant in the area. The ambiance is incredible, and the atmosphere is perfect for some drinks after a day exploring or on the slopes.

The Lexington (285 N. Cache Jackson, Wyoming 83001) – this lovely hotel is situated at the edge of downtown near the Elk Refuge and has all the amenities you need for a great trip.

Accommodations With A View!

Amangani (1535 E Butte Rd, Jackson, WY 83001) – there is truly nothing like the view from Amangani–it’s absolutely breathtaking as a wedding venue!–for a transcendent experience that makes you feel the wildness and grandeur of the Teton mountain range. Features amazing restaurants, a great spa, and tons of activities. It may be worth at least a dinner reservation for the views alone–it’s a perfect proposal/engagement spot!

Wyoming Inn (930 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001) – this is a great boutique hotel about midway between downtown Jackson and Teton Village. It features modern amenities, a great on-site restaurant, and lots of great activities.

Elk Refuge Inn (1755 US Highway 89/191 Jackson, WY 83001) – this hotel has a great view of the Elk Refuge and is one of the closest to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone.

Four Seasons Jackson Hole (7680 Granite Loop Rd, Teton Village, WY 83025) – The incomparable Four Seasons hotel is one of the best experiences in Jackson. Nestled at the base of the Tetons, enjoy multiple world-class restaurants (their Westbank Grill is definitely a special-occasion must), true ski-in/ski-out, a less-populated entrance to Grand Teton National Park, the most elevated experiences (a guided fishing tour + creekside lunch in their pristine wooden boats is a must), an incredible spa, shops, and so much more.

Jackson Lake Lodge (100 Jackson Lake Lodge Rd, Moran, WY 83013) – This is a great photo location, and for guests who want to totally immerse themselves in Grand Teton’s beauty, it is the perfect location as it’s situated within the park.

Bonus Location Outside of Jackson Hole

Under Canvas West Yellowstone (890 Buttermilk Creek Road, West Yellowstone, MT 59758) – while Under Canvas isn’t technically in Jackson Hole, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention it as a part of the best accommodation experiences in the area. For those of you driving down through Yellowstone on your way to Jackson Hole (or vice versa), consider stopping off for a night for a luxury glamping experience.

Things To Do For Jackson Hole Drinks & Fine Dining

Jackson Hole Drinks

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar (25 N Cache St, Jackson, WY 83001) – you can’t visit Jackson without a trip to this iconic bar right in the heart of the downtown square. It’s the perfect spot for a post-reception drink with friends or to listen to some amazing live music.

Gather (72 S Glenwood St, Jackson, WY 83001) – Gather makes the list for drinks and dinner and has a great vibe with views of Snow King Mountain.

Bin 22 (200 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001) – this wine bar is off the beaten path and has a great ambiance to start out or wind down on an evening.

The Ascent Lounge in the Four Seasons (7680 Granite Loop Rd, Teton Village, WY 83025) – this is one of my favorite spots in town. The plush leather couches, beautiful views of the ski slopes, crackling fireplaces, and live music on the weekends make it the perfect spot for really any time of the day or year.

The Bistro at Cloudveil (112 Center St Jackson, WY 83001) – this Parisian style bar has a great wine list, amazing cocktails, and a great oyster bar.

The Local (55 North Cache Jackson, WY 83001) – this makes our dinner list as well, but they have a great bar with amazing cocktails and bites as well.

Hatch Taqueria & Tequilas (120 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001) – stop here for guac and any one of their house margaritas (my favorite is the spicy jalapeno), maybe even stay the whole night. It’s amazing at any time of the day (see breakfast down below).

Glorietta Trattoria (242 Glenwood St, Jackson, WY 83001) – this cozy bar has a candlelit vibe and an incredible drink list. It also has amazing food!

Best Jackson Hole Coffee Spots

Cowboy Coffee (125 N Cache St Jackson, WY 83001 and a drive-thru location at 1007 US-89) – the perfect spot for a coffee and a bite before heading out to the parks or walking around and shopping downtown.

Persephone (145 E Broadway Ave, Jackson, WY 83001 and 3445 N. Pines Way Wilson, WY 83014)

Stop in For Breakfast And Brunch

Hatch (120 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001) – I truly could eat at this restaurant for any meal of the day, but I especially love their breakfast menu. Everything is delicious. I have celiac disease, and Hatch makes it really easy because they have such a large array of gluten-free items.

Cafe Genevieve (135 E Broadway Ave, Jackson, WY 83001) – get there early, as this is one of the most popular breakfast spots in town. They have the fluffiest scrambled eggs and great coffee, and their iconic pig candy is a must.

Persephone (145 E Broadway Ave, Jackson, WY 83001 and 3445 N. Pines Way Wilson, WY 83014) – this French-inspired bakery is a must. Fun fact: Persephone and Picnic are owned by the same people. Additionally, they import their bread flour from Europe so that even someone with a gluten sensitivity can enjoy. Trust me!

Picnic (1110 Maple Way B, Jackson, WY 83001) – features Persephone’s baked goods, but the rest of their menu is totally different. Their breakfast sandwich is one of my favorites.

Westbank Grill (7680 Granite Loop Rd, Teton Village, WY 83025) – Their rotating menu always has a little bit of everything with a fun, fresh flair.

2 Favorite Lunch Spots in Jackson Hole

Handlebar (7680 Granite Loop Rd, Teton Village, WY 83025) – You do not want to miss the view and atmosphere at this incredibly delicious and upscale American pub and beer hall. This indoor/outdoor restaurant at the Four Seasons in Teton Village features outdoor and indoor seating. But the best part is an incredible view of the mountain and ski slopes all year round. Additionally, if it is your speed, their Signature Burger is delicious!

Dornan’s – this seasonal restaurant, open June through Labor Day (when the snow is melted), is actually open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner–but my favorite way to enjoy it is when I’m out exploring Grand Teton National Park around lunchtime. There are 3 separate sections. The Chuckwagon is outdoors and features burgers and BBQ. Then, the Pizza & Pasta Company with some tasty Italian. But don’t forget about the Trading Post/Deli.

A Jackson Hole Dinner Date For Every Couple

King Sushi (75 S. King Street Jackson, WY 83001) – Make your reservation now. Seriously! This tiny but impeccable sushi restaurant books out weeks in advance.

With a cozy Italian vibe, it mixes rustic charm and modern style. But the food is the real star, featuring tasty Italian dishes made with local ingredients. From fresh pasta to Veal Chop Marsala, every dish is a treat. For a memorable and delicious dinner in Jackson Hole, Orsetto Italian Bar & Eatery is the place to be.

Boasting a relaxed atmosphere with a touch of local charm, it provides a welcoming backdrop for an enjoyable evening. All with steakhouse quality food. The menu is a delightful blend of diverse flavors, featuring dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Whether you are craving classic comfort food or adventurous culinary creations, the menu caters to various tastes.

Or step in for a taste of the zinc and oyster bars. I promise you will love whatever the incredible restaurateurs Gavin Fine and Roger Freedman serve you.

Calico (2650 Moose-Wilson Rd, Wilson, WY 83014) Calico is a casual, family-friendly restaurant in Wilson, Wyoming. The menu features American classics with a Western twist, such as bison burgers, elk steaks, and trout. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a warm and cozy décor. Calico is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Snacks + Jackson Hole Specialty

Bin 22 (200 W Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001) – This made the list for great drinks. But don’t skip the amazing tapas.

Sloshies – The perfect way to experience Jackson Hole is through the town’s 21-and-up crowd’s favorite drink! Head to many locations in town, such as Creekside Market and Deli. Get “sloshed” (responsibly) with these slushies spiked with your favorite flavors and booze!

This tour features a sculpture trail and other outdoor spaces where kids can learn about the regional ecosystem. All focused on fun exploration and art.

The Jackson Hole Shootout – From Memorial Day through Labor Day you can take a trip back in time in the town square and watch the iconic Wild West Jackson Hole Shootout.
